Love this laptop! After first I thought I might not like it since it's smaller than what I am use to but the screen is so nice and clear and honestly... it really is a perfect size!

HP AWESOME! MS...getting stingy

The laptop is great! Small, lightweight, good screen size and tons of ram and storage. Unfortunately, MS no longer provides the basic word program (or anything else really) on a new laptop. You have to purchase everything as "add-on". I also very much miss Movie Maker! The photo editing that comes with Windows 11 doesn't even have red-eye, you have to download another "app" for that, and you have to download another "app" for doing basic slideshows with music, etc. So basically, I LOVE the HP laptop! But MS has become as bad as Apple when it comes to forcing you to download the programs you used to get included with a laptop purchase. Granted, most of the basic stuff is available for "free" but what used to be considered basic is now considered an upgrade or premium program, and that's not free. I use my laptop for photo editing - very basic, nothing fancy like photoshop- and making slideshows with music and sounds added in, plus occassionally email or watching a Prime video movie. That's not much really, especially considering all that most folks do with computers these days, so it would be nice to have the same things included in the nearly $900 I paid for the laptop. Again, it's not HP - I still love HP - it's MS not including what they used to include when you bought a laptop with their OS. It shouldn't have really surprised me, but it definitely was a frustration when I first fired up my new computer.

Great specs for the price

I purchased this bc it had great stats for the price and I would recommend it. It turned out that the specs I ended up wanting were a UHD resolution and so I exchanged it for a model that had a higher screen resolution, but, it cost more than this one. If I hadn't decided I wanted the higher resolution, this model was totally worth it.

persistent overheating issues

I recently purchased a new HP Envy 2in1 laptop with high hopes of a reliable and efficient computing experience. Unfortunately, my experience with this device has been far from satisfactory due to its persistent overheating issues and the intrusive loud fan noise. Here's my detailed review: First and foremost, the overheating problem is a major concern. Even during light usage, such as web browsing or document editing, the laptop's temperature quickly rises to uncomfortable levels. It's disappointing that the device struggles to maintain reasonable thermal management, as this greatly impacts its performance and longevity. The fan noise further compounds the issue. In an attempt to mitigate the overheating, the laptop's fan kicks into high gear, generating an exceptionally loud and distracting noise. This noise is not only bothersome during quiet environments but also becomes increasingly noticeable in louder surroundings, making it difficult to concentrate or enjoy multimedia content. It's worth mentioning that these problems are not isolated incidents, as several users have reported similar issues with various HP laptop models. While occasional fan noise is expected during demanding tasks, the excessive noise and constant fan operation seem to be inherent flaws in the design or cooling system of these laptops. Regrettably, attempts to address these issues through software adjustments or updates have yielded minimal improvement. The laptop's thermal performance remains subpar, and the fan noise persists.
