Average but satisfactory

So the picture is not the best alittle oil painty. Peoples faces look off alot of the time. Colors are bright and nice. I had issues ordering other projectors from bestbuy with very very long wait times and settled on this projector after my other orders got canceled 3 times (6 month process) SO I DIDNT get the projector I actually wanted and settled on this. Another down side was no sleep timer. But the led light has been good so far and is supposed to last longer than the bulbs which I have issues with lifetime in other products in the past. I have gamed alittle on this and would not recomend for fast paced games there is a very slight lag but for story mode games this was honestly a great experience. Speakers are very nice best thing about the projector honestly very nice sound. Sometimes it occationally goes out of focus but i dont count that against the projector I think thats more of a setup issue. Overall this is a quality progector I only gave it 3 stars because of the picture quality being low and the slight lag during fast paced games even in game mode. If this had better picture quality it would easily be a 4.5 very easy to setup just priced aluttle high for the quality but i am sure it will last a long time with the led bulb. This would be very good for children playing switch and watching animated movies the colors are very nice and pop. Just alittle oil painty when looking at people and some scenery.

Gets the job done flawlessly and on buget

The Miroir M1200S Ultra Pro delivered what I expected for and more. It's so much different than watching your tv. It's got a fluent and captivating picture quality (theater like feeling). It throws a Bright and colorful picture in dark spaces. But it can withstand some light also. When operating it is nearly silent, I couldn't notice a thing but those nice built in speakers it's got. And if that's not enough sound you can pair it to an external source through its Spdif or Hdmi connectors. Has built in Smart features that you can download popular apps like Youtube Hulu Netflix and start streaming straight from the device witch makes it really convenient. I tried both but most of the time i find myself running the apps straight from the projector. Other cool feature is the Autofocus, it works great and adjusts the image really quick and if your angle it's off no need to worry it will straighten the image for you in few seconds. Overall this is a Great budget projector. I am impressed of how well performs.

Portable FHD projection goodness - for less!

Point blank – it’s arguably among one of the best Full HD (1920 x 1080) DLP based wireless projectors that I have used at this price point. While Miroir may not have the mass marketing and advertising structure of the “traditional” home theater players (i.e., the ones you find at your local big box stores) - they do have a solid history of bringing quality and innovation as reasonable prices going back the earlier iPhone projector days. There are some minor areas that could use more “polish” – such as sound stage reproduction, remote control and user interface/menu navigation to name a few – the Ultra Pro Smart M1200S delivers where it counts most: picture quality, color reproduction, and clarity/sharpness – especially at this price point and size. Top that off with the ability to “witlessly” stream your favorite shows in Full HD as well as thoughtful design considerations such as a decently spaced connectivity “input” panel. It’s also worth mentioning that the physical overall size may not be on the level of minute level of a “Pico” style portable projector that can fit in your hand – however is still very portable and easy to move around from room-to-room or various locations. ================================ >>>>> Packaging/Unboxing/Setup: <<<<< ================================ Don’t let the unassuming “plain black box” fool you. While there aren’t any splashy graphics, or crazy marking claims plastered all over the exterior of the M1200S’s box – the projector is securely packed inside with a decent amount of protective Styrofoam to make sure it doesn’t arrive in pieces. Overall, the whole “unboxing” is a relatively straight forward and simple affair. You won’t find any fancy handout, support documents, or carefully conceived inserts – just the remote and power brick along with a pretty basic color “folding” start/instruction guide card …. but that’s OK – since once you power it on – all of that becomes less relevant as soon as the colors from the M1200S’s DLP lamp come to life on your screen/wall. In the event you decided to plug it in without reading the enclosed instruction card – everything is straight forward enough so that you figure it out on your own, connect your home Wi-Fi and get going relatively quickly. Personally, I think it would have been nice to have a little more detail and documentation on the subject of navigating and working with the “apps” in the “app store” – since upon first glance/initial setup - it seemed a little off with International versions of familiar apps and slightly obscure versions or other apps that didn’t fully seem like they were legitimate at first, but so far so good. The User Interface/UI is pretty basic in regards to presentation and menu structure. It seems more akin to navigating your phone’s menu/file folder structure (or a Linux/PC file/folder structure) than say a more “curated” experience with a higher end product – but is completely functional in my opinion. After 5-10 mins of digging through the menus, setting, and file content structure – I was good to go. To reiterate though – none of that is written down for you in the included “instructions” – so I highly recommend taking the time to figure it all out as you continue to set it up yourself. I suspect the M1200S’s remote comes from the same/and or similar factory that produces Amazon device remotes. If your used to that, you’ll be right at home here – HOWEVER although the layout of the buttons themselves are the same – the actual functions are different and tailored to the M1200S’s features. ============================================ >>>>> Personal Observations using it for a week: <<<<< ============================================ - Picture Quality/Reproduction: I have owned a couple of projectors in the past, but in all honesty, it’s been a good 8+ years since I last used one as my “main” home theater view screen (for reference it was an older DLP based Epson Home Cinema unit). Back then there were (…and still are) quite a few projection technologies that all claim to have the “best” everything for your home – DLP, LCD, LED, LCoS, Laser, etc, etc … and If you weren’t already certain by now – this M1200S uses “DLP” technology. For the uninitiated, DLP - or “Digital Light Processing” - based projectors reflect light into small/tiny microscopic mirrors and spinning color wheels to do their thing. I’m not going to go into detail and compare and contrast the technology types – but needless to say I think Miroir made the right choice here with the M1200S. Just like many of the other $2000+ DLP based projectors out there – the M1200S had awesome contrast and color reproduction right out the box, but it was a little “softer” in brightness than I would have liked to have seen. The M1200S’s LED based lamp is capable of producing a brightness of 1,000 lumens – which is great for semi-dark rooms, basements, and dedicated projection – however rooms or screen walls with lots of bright or indirect right noticeably impacted colors and washed out some of the images more than I would have liked. I would have like to have seen something at least 2,000+ lumens for those types of scenarios. I was very pleased with the 4K content to 1920 x 1080p resolution. I watched good amount of my favorite 4K shows on the M1200S and I was VERY surprised as how sharp the images stayed in focus as I tested the unit out on various rooms of my house. Although the Miroir M1200S may not natively output 4K image resolution, the unit does a good job of scaling i4Kdown to Full HD resolution for viewing. There are the standard color/tone/contrast menus available to fine tune the picture to your liking as well, and the digital lens shift and 4 point keystone image correction made it easy to fine tune the cast image regardless of the angle I was positioning it at the time. - Physical Design, Sound and Noise: The M1200S is small and portable – but not incredibly so. It is perfect for moving from room to room, and I even gave it a go on the side of my house’s exterior for a movie night for the little ones. As noted above, in dim conditions, and thanks to the M1200S’s strong auto focus – it worked out really well and I can’t recommend this unit enough this regard. The pair of 10-watt speakers housed inside the unit itself get plenty loud – however as you may expect based on the small size – are lacking in fine treble and bass reproduction compared to a dedicated sound bar or home theater system. The speaker does support Dolby and DTS audio sources and the unit has a physical S/PDIF connection for your digital audio sourcing needs. Fortunately, the M1200S also supports wireless Bluetooth speaker pairing functionality, so it is too easy to remedy the any audio issues you may possibly have – so I wouldn’t hold that against the M1200S too much. Speaking of sound – I was also very surprised on how quiet the unit actually is when in operation…as I previously said earlier, it has been a while since I fired up a projector in my home, but this unit was way, way quieter than the units I remember back in the day. Just keep in mind one thing – DLP lamps eventually will need replacing at some point in the future after a certain number of hours. I learned this the hard way and this is why I have not replaced my previous DLP based unit. The M1200S is rated for 20,000 hours of projection time – which is like 833 days of nonstop 24-hour usage time for comparison’s sake. ========================= >>>>> Closing thoughts: <<<<< ========================= Yes – there is room for improvement. The M1200S could be (a lot) brighter…It could be a little smaller…it could be a little easier/clearer to move around the menus and figure out the functions. With all that being said – I think the Miroir Ultra Pro Smart M1200S knocks it out of the park for it is capable of. With a little effort on the user’s part in learning the features/functions on your own time, your rewarded with a an outstanding HD picture that is literally movable to anywhere/any room you want – with the bonus of streaming many of your favorite FHD and 4K content wirelessly (your 4K content will be scaled to FHD resolution though) – along with loud and clear audio that everyone can hear easily within 10-20 feet of the unit itself. Its that’s an issue – just pair it wireless to a Bluetooth speaker for added performance and convenience. For a movie night out in the backyard, or a pre-setup/dedicated projection screen/room – this is one to get.

Great compact smart projector

The Miroir Ultra Pro Smart wireless projector stands up against the growing projector market with its modest entry level price and performs great for those on a budget. I upgraded my portable projector in our bedroom with this one hoping for a brighter and clearer picture along with some added smart features. Out of the box, the projector is a bit larger than I would have preferred however this comes with the added features compared to our last projector such as the built-in apps, Digital Light Projection (DLP) and impressive sounding speakers which I will talk about later. The projector measures a little under 8” tall X 6” wide X 8” deep and weighs approximately five pounds so it does take up a little more space than I would have preferred however the features outweigh the size specs in my opinion. It supports up to a 4K resolution maximum input allowing for a 1920 X 1080 native resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio and 3D technology support. The hardware can downscale a 4K input to full HD and the picture is still crystal clear. Those specs coupled with 1000 lumens brightness and a 400:1 contrast ratio creates a clear, bright, and colorful picture in most dimly lit, dark and outside areas at night. I took pictures in our theatre room, which already has a larger 4K projector installed against a 120” screen in both daytime and nighttime, to show the difference in the image brightness and clarity. The projector can produce a decent image up to 150” and down to 24” and you can also adjust the image size in the software settings so you don’t have to keep moving the projector itself. One of the most impressive features is the auto focus feature which works very well and adjusts automatically in real time while you may be moving the projector around. You can also adjust the keystone at each corner in case the projector is off center. I typically will have this projector in our bedroom displaying an image on the textured ceiling, which I would recommend to anyone who has not tried that yet as it is the most comfortable way to enjoy shows. Mind you, the textured ceiling may be a distraction at first, but the projector is bright enough to help with this and you get used to it after a while. You can connect the projector to the internet during set up or in the settings via Wi-Fi or the wired ethernet port. You will want to ensure you update the software as soon as you set up the projector as many of the application options did not show up in the app store until it was updated. The built-in software has dozens of apps you can install including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube. You also have the option to plug in an external source into the one HDMI input (which supports HDMI DHCP 2.2) and even stream from your mobile device. If you are using a smart stick style device, you can also use one of the two USB ports to power that device instead of using a separate power source. The remote is simple and easy to navigate except for figuring out when you need switch from using the navigation buttons to using the point style mouse to select screen options, type usernames/passwords, etc. It took me a few minutes to figure out why the video apps were not allowing me to select the sign in option because I needed to switch to the point mouse holding one of the buttons on the remote for a few seconds. Everything else on the remote is basically self-explanatory without having to reference the basic instruction sheet that comes in the box. One feature I wanted to highlight is how loud the built-in speakers are. I had a sound bar with a wireless subwoofer hooked up to our last portable projector and was able to bypass and get rid of that set up all together as the speaker was loud enough for the space we have it in. According to the specs listed, it produces sound up to 29 decibels which was much louder than I thought. There is also a fiber optic SPDIF output to transmit sound to an external source. Overall, this projector performs great, has a bright, clear and colorful picture, surprisingly loud sound and plenty of mainstream video and audio applications to choose from. At this price point, I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a smart projector from a newer American company trying to make a name for themselves in the projector market.

Good concept, terrible execution

Idea is great but the execution seems terribly went wrong, as the unit is defective, mostly beta testing units. I spend more than with Mirior technical team to troubleshoot and replacing units than utilizing the projector. Now I understand why this unit is still not in the main stream sales. Complete waste of money and time.

Nice picture, but frustrating

Disclaimer - this item was received free of charge in exchange for an honest review The Miroir Ultra Pro Smart M1200S Projector is an impressive, if sometimes frustrating piece of equipment. It features a decently bright image, good for casual watching in a bright room, though you'll want to close the curtains for a more detailed experience. The projector has a set of speakers that give off crisp, loud and clear audio.... sometimes. There is a large library of apps available, some of which are popular, but most seem to be aimed at overseas markets. You can get images in resolutions up to 4k! Well, unless it's via a 4k blu-ray player, from which there's no image at all. Now, I presume that I may have received a somewhat faulty unit. Maybe. There is no manual in the box and the url given to access the manual online is a dead end. So some of my issues may just be ignorance on how to operate the device. My issues have been; - no audio when using the internal hbomax app - no control over the volume when using the internal hulu app - no audio or video from blu-ray or 4k discs from a 4k player via hdmi - no audio from 3d discs (and just one tested blu-ray disc) from a standard blu-ray player via hdmi - no audio from mkv files via usb- cursor drifting to the edges of the screen when using the "air mouse" - cannot test internal Netflix app due to its reliance on the air mouse to sign in... similar with Amazon Prime, though I had better luck - poor “handshake” with my soundbar, both through HDMI as well as via Bluetooth My theory is that Miroir may have used older technology and software in some places in an effort to keep the projector more affordable. I’m thinking that some types of files (like mkv) and certain types of audio (DTS) may not be supported. Also, if the unit lacks support for the anti-piracy software, HDCP2.2, that may account for the issues with my 4k player. It is my understanding that it’s also possible that the version of HDMI cable I am using could cause some of these problems. Or I was just the unlucky recipient of a faulty unit. I did reach out to the vendor about some of these things, to which they responded very quickly. Unfortunately, their only solution was to update the firmware, which I had already done during setup. I wrote back with more issues and haven’t gotten any further communication from the company. In all fairness, I haven’t tried to follow up with them either because it will work fine for my purposes. If I had purchased this item though, I would have tried to exchange or return it for a refund. The greatest success I have had has been using a streaming stick. While the unit itself is “smart” and has some popular apps, the options are mostly foreign or difficult (if not impossible, such as my experience with Netflix) to navigate. Disney+ for example, appears to be the Indian version of the service. There were no domestic films or tv shows and the app would not let me sign in. As of this writing, Movies Anywhere and VUDU were not available in the projector’s marketplace, which is a shame because of the projector’s troubles playing discs and the fact that it is meant to be a portable device. My Roku stick, on the other hand, worked flawlessly. Great picture and great sound. All apps tested worked as expected. Even hbomax. I had similar success, and a lot of fun, testing my Nintendo Switch on this projector. What was supposed to be a five minute test turned into an hour and a half of extra large Breath of the Wild play. While the game is fun to play in the first place, playing it projected across a whole wall (crisp and clear, I should add) brought a whole new level of fun. The picture quality is quite stunning, especially for the price. The brightness is pretty much as advertised when viewing bright content, but higher contrast video is better viewed in darker spaces. My 2 year old daughter and I tested Peppa Pig on a sunny day and we were able to see everything nice and clear, but Bladerunner 2049 was a little bit more of a challenge with such high contrasts. That's not to say the movie is unwatchable through the projector in such a bright area. I would say stick with kids shows and video games for daytime use and leave the dark, gritty tv dramas and Oscar nominees for the evening. As far as 4k content goes, I couldn't discern a noticeable difference from standard full HD. The unit displays the resolution at the top of the screen when you start video, but to be honest, I didn't even realize it was capable of playing 4k content until I noticed the display. The specs for the projector say its maximum resolution is 4k, but its native resolution is plain old full HD. I have to plead ignorance again on this particular subject. Maybe it's like when HD came out and there was 1080i vs. 1080p? I will say that when watching Bladerunner 2049 (in 4k) on my 4k television the resolution was very noticeable, but not so much on the projector. Don't get me wrong though, it still looks spectacular through the projector, just not as jaw-dropping as through the tv. I was surprised and excited to learn that this projector is capable of playing 3d content. I realize the medium isn't very popular anymore, but I've always been a fan and have a small collection of 3d movies. Unfortunately, I was a left a little disappointed from my tests. This projector uses a different technology to produce a 3d image than my tv, so the 3d glasses I own are of no help. There are so many different kinds of glasses available and no way of knowing which are compatible because no manual exists for this projector. I noticed also, that even though 3d images (I presume) were being produced, sound was not. Previews, ads and the menu all gave sound through the projector's speakers, but no sound at all from the film itself. Sound was not an issue at all though when switching to the standard, non-3d disc. As mentioned above, I have had some issues with the sound on this projector. When I am able to get sound to come from the two 10 watt internal speakers it is crisp, clear and full. I did notice a bit of lip syncing issues with some content, but I don't know if that is an inherent issue with projectors or a particular app. It actually kind of gives it more of a drive-in movie vibe. Directing the sound through a bluetooth speaker though, makes the syncing much worse and almost unwatchable. Unfortunately, there is no setting on the projector to adjust for such an issue. Operating the projector is actually quite intuitive, all things considered. The remote control is simple and kind of easy to figure out, though I do have some nitpicks. First, and most infuriating, is the air mouse function. When activated a cursor appears on the screen and it is supposed to move to wherever you point the remote control. My cursor immediately drifts to the top or left edges of the screen. I am able to get it away from the edges sometimes, but it quickly drifts back before I can click on anything. The power button I found to be a bit strange as well. It functions perfectly fine, but instead of having a typical "on/off" power icon, it has a musical note. All in all, (based on the unit I received, which may be defective) it feels like the M1200S could use some tweaks. It produces a wonderful picture, even in a bright area, though it doesn't seem to be compatible with some file types. Sound from the speakers is full, crisp and clear, though, again, it seems that some common file types aren't supported. Even though this model is pretty inexpensive for a 4k home theater projector it has too many kinks to recommend.

Personally, I think it would have been nice to have a little more detail and documentation on the subject of navigating and working with the “apps” in the “app store” – since upon first glance/initial setup - it seemed a little off with International versions of familiar apps and slightly obscure versions or other apps that didn’t fully seem like they were legitimate at first, but so far so good. The User Interface/UI is pretty basic in regards to presentation and menu structure. It seems more akin to navigating your phone’s menu/file folder structure (or a Linux/PC file/folder structure) than say a more “curated” experience with a higher end product – but is completely functional in my opinion. After 5-10 mins of digging through the menus, setting, and file content structure – I was good to go. To reiterate though – none of that is written down for you in the included “instructions” – so I highly recommend taking the time to figure it all out as you continue to set it up yourself. I suspect the M1200S’s remote comes from the same/and or similar factory that produces Amazon device remotes. If your used to that, you’ll be right at home here – HOWEVER although the layout of the buttons themselves are the same – the actual functions are different and tailored to the M1200S’s features. ============================================ >>>>> Personal Observations using it for a week: <<<<< ============================================ - Picture Quality/Reproduction: I have owned a couple of projectors in the past, but in all honesty, it’s been a good 8+ years since I last used one as my “main” home theater view screen (for reference it was an older DLP based Epson Home Cinema unit). Back then there were (…and still are) quite a few projection technologies that all claim to have the “best” everything for your home – DLP, LCD, LED, LCoS, Laser, etc, etc … and If you weren’t already certain by now – this M1200S uses “DLP” technology. For the uninitiated, DLP - or “Digital Light Processing” - based projectors reflect light into small/tiny microscopic mirrors and spinning color wheels to do their thing. I’m not going to go into detail and compare and contrast the technology types – but needless to say I think Miroir made the right choice here with the M1200S. Just like many of the other $2000+ DLP based 4K/8K projectors out there – the M1200S had awesome contrast and color reproduction right out the box, but it was a little “softer” in brightness than I would have liked to have seen. The M1200S’s LED based lamp is capable of producing a brightness of 1,000 lumens – which is great for semi-dark rooms, basements, and dedicated projection – however rooms or screen walls with lots of bright or indirect right noticeably impacted colors and washed out some of the images more than I would have liked. I would have like to have seen something at least 2,000+ lumens for those types of scenarios. I was VERY surprised as how sharp the images stayed in focus as I tested the unit out on various rooms of my house, in additional the various distances I was using the projector itself from the actual wall I was projecting onto. There are the standard color/tone/contrast menus available to fine tune the picture to your liking as well, and the digital lens shift and 4 point keystone image correction made it easy to fine tune the cast image regardless of the angle I was positioning it at the time. - Physical Design, Sound and Noise: The M1200S is small and portable – but not incredibly so. It is perfect for moving from room to room, and I even gave it a go on the side of my house’s exterior for a movie night for the little ones. As noted above, in dim conditions, and thanks to the M1200S’s strong auto focus – it worked out really well and I can’t recommend this unit enough if you’re looking to bring 4K to your family in this regard – this is even more true when you take into account the pair of 10-watt speakers housed inside the unit itself. They get plenty loud – however as you may expect based on the small size – are lacking in fine treble and bass reproduction compared to a dedicated sound bar or home theater system. The speaker does support Dolby and DTS audio sources and the unit has a physical S/PDIF connection for your digital audio sourcing needs. Fortunately, the M1200S also supports wireless Bluetooth speaker pairing functionality, so it is too easy to remedy the any audio issues you may possibly have – so I wouldn’t hold that against the M1200S too much. Speaking of sound – I was also very surprised on how quiet the unit actually is when in operation…as I previously said earlier, it has been a while since I fired up a projector in my home, but this unit was way, way quieter than the units I remember back in the day. Just keep in mind one thing – DLP lamps eventually will need replacing at some point in the future after a certain number of hours. I learned this the hard way and this is why I have not replaced my previous DLP based unit. The M1200S is rated for 20,000 hours of projection time – which is like 833 days of nonstop 24-hour usage time for comparison’s sake. ========================= >>>>> Closing thoughts: <<<<< ========================= Yes – there is room for improvement. The M1200S could be (a lot) brighter…It could be a little smaller…it could be a little easier/clearer to move around the menus and figure out the functions. With all that being said – I think the Miroir Ultra Pro Smart M1200S knocks it out of the park for it is capable of. With a little effort on the user’s part in learning the features/functions on your own time, your rewarded with a an outstanding 4K picture that is literally movable to anywhere/any room you want – with the bonus of streaming many of your favorite 4K content wirelessly (provided your data rate can support it of course) – along with loud and clear audio that everyone can hear easily within 10-20 feet of the unit itself. Its that’s an issue – just pair it wireless to a Bluetooth speaker for added performance and convenience. For a movie night out in the backyard, or a pre-setup/dedicated projection screen/room – this is one to get.

Excellent projector

The Miroir M1200S Ultra Pro 4k delivered what I expected for and some more. It's so much different than watching your tv. It's got a fluent and captivating picture quality (theater like feeling). It throws a Bright and colorful picture in dark spaces. But it can withstand some light also. When operating it is nearly silent, I couldn't notice a thing but those nice built in speakers it's got. And if that's not enough you can pair it to an external source through its Spdif or Hdmi connectors. With the Smart features you can download all the popular apps Youtube Hulu Netflix and start streaming straight from the device witch makes it really great if you don't want to pair it with your other devices. I tried both but most of the time i find myself running the apps straight from the projector. Other cool feature is the Autofocus, it works great and adjusts the image really quick and if your angle it's off no need to worry it will straighten the image for you in fee seconds. Overall this is a Great budget 4k projector. I am impressed of how well performs.

Impressive budget entry level 4K projector

The Miroir Ultra Pro Smart 4K wireless projector challenges the 4K projector market at its modest entry level price and performs great for those on a budget. I upgraded my portable projector in our bedroom with this one hoping for a brighter and clearer picture along with some added smart features. Out of the box, the projector is a bit larger than I would have preferred however this comes with the added features compared to our last projector such as the built-in apps, Digital Light Projection (DLP) and impressive sounding speakers which I will talk about later. The projector measures a little under 8” tall X 6” wide X 8” deep and weighs approximately five pounds so it does take up a little more space than I would have preferred however the features outweigh the size specs in my opinion. It supports up to a 4K 4096 X 2160 resolution also allowing for a 1920 X 1080 native resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio and 3D technology support. Those specs coupled with 1000 lumens brightness and a 400:1 contrast ratio creates a clear, bright, and colorful picture in most dimly lit, dark and outside areas at night. I took pictures in our theatre room which already has a larger 4K projector installed against a 120” screen in both daytime and nighttime to show the difference in the image brightness and clarity. The projector can produce a decent image up to 150” and down to 24” and you can also adjust the image size in the software settings so you don’t have to keep moving the projector itself. One of the most impressive features is the auto focus feature which works very well and adjusts automatically in real time while you may be moving the projector around. You can also adjust the keystone at each corner in case the projector is off center. I typically will have this projector in our bedroom displaying an image on the textured ceiling, which I would recommend to anyone who has not tried that yet as it is the most comfortable way to enjoy shows. Mind you, the textured ceiling may be a distraction at first, but the projector is bright enough to help with this and you get used to it after a while. You can connect the projector to the internet during set up or in the settings via Wi-Fi or the wired ethernet port. You will want to ensure you update the software as soon as you set up the projector as many of the application options did not show up in the app store until it was updated. The built-in software has dozens of apps you can install including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube. You also have the option to plug in an external source into the one HDMI input (which supports HDMI DHCP 2.2) and even stream from your mobile device. If you are using a smart stick style device, you can also use one of the two USB ports to power that device instead of using a separate power source. The remote is simple and easy to navigate except for figuring out when you need switch from using the navigation buttons to using the point style mouse to select screen options, type usernames/ passwords, etc. It took me a few minutes to figure out why the video apps were not allowing me to select the sign in option because I needed to switch to the point mouse holding one of the buttons on the remote for a few seconds. Everything else on the remote is basically self-explanatory without having to reference the basic instruction sheet that comes in the box. One feature I wanted to highlight is how loud the built-in speakers are. I had a sound bar with a wireless subwoofer hooked up to our last portable projector and was able to bypass and get rid of that set up all together as the speaker was loud enough for the space we have it in. According to the specs listed, it produces sound up to 29 decibels which was much louder than I thought. There is also a fiber optic SPDIF output to transmit sound to an external source. Overall, this projector performs great, has a bright, clear and colorful picture, surprisingly loud speakers and plenty of main stream video and audio applications to choose from. At this price point, I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a budget smart 4K projector from a newer American company continuing to make a name for themselves specifically in the projector market.
