Good receiver but could be better

Great receiver however if attempting to play music on it, I have found that the built in audio profiles tweak the music so much that its almost un-listenable. It trys to throw the music to different channels so much that it just sounds weird. But if I connect through bluetooth, it sounds exactly the way it should. May just take some more tuning but so far I have spent a couple hours trying to change settings and minimize its "enhancement" with no success. Otherwise its been great. I did have to purchase some USB powered cooling fans because if played at high volume for more than 20 minutes, it was going into protect mode and would shut down. Since adding the fans though, its been solid. I think that is one improvement Sony should make. I dont understand how they expect this kind of wattage to dissipate heat naturally.

Great Sound and Easy Set-Up

I had not updated my receiver since 4K and Dolby Atmos became affordable. I love this receiver, especially how easy it was to set up for a target listening space with an enclosed microphone. Recommended.

Sony surround sound receiver

This receiver has an excellent sound and the surround sound effects are amazing.

Great for the value

I bought this product for my small home theater setup. I didn’t need anything super expensive but something that had the power for all my speakers and sub with the capability for Dolby Atmos. The setup was easy as long as you have a slight understanding of how to wire a speaker into it other than that not including tuning of the speakers through the amp, it is plug and play and for the cost it was a great purchase that I have no regrets for.

Best bang for your Buck!

This receiver works great and is very versatile! I am running it with a 5.1.2 Surround Sound system, but it can work with a 7.2 as well. I love this receiver because I am able to play sounds through it via bluetooth and my phone. I strongly recommend this for anything in the market for a reciever.

I Love It

I was using a 20 year old Yamaha receiver for my surround system so this was a really great upgrade for me. I love that it has multiple connections in the back so I can plug all my devices into it as opposed to the TV. It does a pretty good job of turning everything on when I turn the TV on or the Blu-ray and switching to the right connections though there have been a couple of times I had to use the remote to switch it to the right HDMI but that is not the standard. Seems like it was a really good value for the price considering all the modern stuff it has.
